Painel de Instrumentos Analógico Volkswagen 2023
The objective of this project was to modernize the analog instrument panel of Volkswagen trucks for the 2023 models. The previous panel had already been on the market for around 10 years and the digital model would be launched in 2023, so vehicles that did not have the panel digital needed a visual update.

Desafio
Modernize the analog instrument panel to be on par with competitors and to accompany the launch of the digital panel on truck models in 2023.
My role
Study the entire structure of instrument panels, do visual benchmarking, understand part of the operation of truck engines to better represent the information on the display, create millimetrically accurate vectorized models to be printed on vinyl and applied to the analog cluster.
Modelo Antigo
Simple gauge, first test carried out with the tachometer highlighted, as the tachometer is more important than the speedometer when it comes to trucks, as controlling the speed range is fundamental to the engine's efficiency.
New Model
The new model has an arc that passes outside the bars and defines the beginning and end of the speedometer. The colored bars have been changed to blend gracefully within the smaller bars. There is also a slight spacing between the colored bars so that the smaller bars have a breather. With the panel lit, these colors stand out and are clearly visible, without taking away space from the internal panel that is reserved for the other meters that have lighting.
